Khalistan Calling
newsletter dated January 22, 2003The three million strong diaspora Sikhs, unlike their 21 million compatriots captive in India, are free and prosperous and they are determined - as they believe it is their destiny and pray for it every day;
Raj Karayga Khalsa; Sikhs will rule - to create a sovereign, democratic, egalitarian Sikh buffer state of KHALISTAN in South Asia, stretching from the Jumna river on the East, to the Pakistan border on the West, China on the Northeast and Kashmir on the North, playing its God-given role of a granary for countries of Central Asia and acting as a 'bridge of prosperity' between Central and South Asia.* Please E-mail or FAX newsletter

: North American Church groups, specially Baptist and Roman Catholic churches, ought to take notice that Swastika-worshipping, neo-Nazi RSS thugs - Storm-Troopers of India's ruling BJP Vajpayee coalition government - after lying low for a little over a year on the 'Christian & Sikh fronts' - are on the march again in their war against the beleaguered 18 million Christian and 21 million Sikh monotheistic minorities a la Nazi Germany of the late 1930's.Yesterday (Jan. 20, 2003), the RSS showed enough muscle to force a hesitant Kerala state Congress party government to
issue an official Expulsion order notice to a grievously injured 60-year-old American national and Baptist missionary, Joseph William Cooper - and had it delivered to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram - where he was recuperating. Cooper was asked to leave India within a week after he was attacked by a 10-member armed gang of Neo-Nazi RSS workers (read thugs), on Monday January 13, 2003, during a Gospel convention cum Christian religious service at Kilimanoor, in Kerala state, because the RSS objected to his presence among the worshipping persecuted lower caste Hindus who made up the congregation. Mr. Cooper and his companions were waylaid at about 9.45 PM when the guests were being escorted back to their vehicles. For details of incident please click at:- > http://www.hinduonnet.com/thehindu/2003/01/15/stories/2003011505950100.htm <According to a BBC report dated Jan. 21, 2003, "
Joseph Cooper the American missionary stabbed in southern India last week by a right-wing Hindu gang could face criminal charges after a Hindu nationalist filed a complaint. The complaint called for the prosecution of Bishop Joseph Cooper, 68, over allegations that he denigrated Hindus." The complainant, one K. Sugathan claims that Mr Cooper had, at a religious meeting, made derogatory remarks against the Hindu community, punishable under the Indian Penal Code. A magistrate's court in Trivandrum, capital of Kerala state, will decide on Wednesday whether to charge Mr Cooper. Lawyers told the BBC the preacher could face up to three years in jail if found guilty. The right-wing challenge was apparently aimed at preventing Mr Cooper from leaving for the US and to intimidate other missionaries in India.Incidently Kerala state (area 38,864 kilometers - population around 40 million) is the only state in India with a large Christian minority - over 25% of the population - and because of them has the highest standard of literacy (80%) of any state in that illiterate country and is currently being ruled by the Congress party. The state is also generally more prosperous than most other states of India as it has many Keralites earning money in the Gulf states and Saudi Arabia. The present day state of Kerala, part of Tipu Sultan's Mysore kingdom until 1792, was created in 1956 by combining the princely mini-states of Travancore, Cochin and Malabar. Kerala has had Christians for as long as Christianity has been in Europe. St. Thomas the Apostle is supposed to have landed on the present day Kerala coast in 52 A.D. near Cranganore. Ruins of a 9th Century Syrian Christians church still stands at Vallia Palli in Southern Kerala. Vasco da Gama the Portugese navigator landed at Calicut in 1498, after circumnaviagating the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa and was surprised to find Christianity already established along the Kerala coast. The oldest Church, still standing, St Francis Church, was built by Portugese Franciscan Friars in 1503 A.D.
Last week's attack on American missionary, Joseph Cooper, has terrified the Christian minority in India in general, and the Christians of Kerala in particular. We believe the incident was synchronized with another development which has shocked the 24 million strong Sikh community - 21 million captive in India and three million free in the diaspora. Last week India's infamous New Delhi Tihar jail received a 'Black warrant' (read 'Death warrant') from the Court authorizing the execution of an innocent politically active Sikh prisoner, the respected Professor Davinder Pal Singh, who was denied asylum by the German authorities, in 1995, and hurridly, and mistakenly, deported to a country - India - which hangs prisoners. Professor Davinder Pal Singh was found guilty on trumped up charges by India's corrupt judicial system. Death warrants against the learned Sikh professor were issued after India's 'musical-chairs' Supreme Court (24 Chief Justices in 55 years as compared to twelve Chief Justices in 220 years in the US) rejected his appeal by a split verdict on December 17, 2002.
These two overlapping 'synchronized' incidents are a clear indication that the RSS, storm troopers/thugs/criminals really, and their godfathers in the ruling BJP coalition government in Delhi, Vajpayee, Advani, Joshi & Co., have completed their agenda of pogroms in Gujarat state where a timid minority of traders - 10% of the population - was targetted and over two thousand innocents were done to death by Hindu mobs, and over a hundred thousand made homeless, just before a rigged state election in which the minorities were not allowed to participate by armed RSS hooligans. It is obvious, and we Sikhs have no doubt, that RSS 'Storm-troopers' now have the Christian and the Sikh minorities in their gunsights once again in the rest of India.
As the survival of two monotheistic minorities - Christians & Sikhs - is at stake in a rising tide of Hindutva style fascism in India, wouldn't it be practical and wise that barriers, distance and prejudices fall quickly betwen the Sikh and Christian communities in that squalidly country? And, communications channels ought to be opened, just as quickly, between the Christians Churches in Europe and America and the three million strong Sikh diaspora's nearly six hundred Gurdwaras (Sikh Churches) all over the world.Ever since the (BJP) Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government assumed power at the Center, there has been a low intensity war against Christians in India, especially nuns and priests, by groups and organizations loyal to the Sangh Parivar. A wave of attacks against Christian evangelists and places of worship through 1998 culminated in the murder of the saintly Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two sons on January 23, 1999. For details please read Khalistan Calling dated April 07, 1999, headlined, "Dara Singh, Murderer of of Australian Missionary, Sneers at the Christian World on Indian TV" at:- >
http://www.khalistan-affairs.org/Main/K_Calling/040799.htm <A second wave of terror against Christian missionaries; that extended to the States of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh, and culminated in June, 2000, in a series of bomb blasts in churches in Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh. The bombs that went off in churches in the towns of Vasco in Goa, Wadi in Karnataka, and Ongole and Tacepalligudem in Andhra Pradesh, pointed to a qualitatively new phase in the campaign of organized violence against Christians in lndia. The serial bomb blasts marked a new phase in the continuing two-year long violence against the Christian community in India. The fact of a conspiracy against the Christian community was clearly ESTABLISHED and pointed not only to careful and coordinated planning but also to new levels and strategies of planned violence which suggested a deadly seriousness of purpose. "
See Khalistan Calling, dated July 11, 2000, headlined, "Christian Persecution Continues in Fascist India", at:- > http://www.khalistan-affairs.org/Main/K_Calling/kc07112000.htm <Missionary Joseph Cooper, was attacked on January 13 by RSS activists, nay thugs, near a gospel convention venue at the lower caste Koppam Harijan colony in the Kilimanoor police station limits late on Monday night last week. Police said that seven other persons, including a preacher and his family accompanying Mr. Cooper, were also injured in the attack. Mr. Cooper, hailing from New Castle in the U.S., sustained a deep cut on his right palm and suffered, according to the January 21, 2003 Washington Times, severe head injuries when he was attacked with swords and sticks.
We Sikhs condemn this barbaric act of terrorism by the RSS storm troopers of the ruling BJP alliance governmemnt in New Delhi against an elderly, unarmed American visiting an Indian state with the largest Christian minority. Clearly intimidation of Kerala's Christian minority (numbering over 10 million) is the intent of the BJP leadership.We believe that in order to survive in fascist India, the Sikh and the Christian minorities should get together and prepare to jointly face the mounting BJP-led HINDU-FUNDAMENTALIST reign of violence and pogroms which are on the way. The RSS storm troopers are not going to go away, as that is not the nature of the beast.
We therefore, invite the Christian leaders in India to look upon the Sikhs as friends and partners in a survival exercise and hope that beleaguered Christians will look upon the numerous Gurdwaras (Sikh churches) located all over India as havens for Christian in trouble as our churches are open to ANYBODY of any religion, caste or creed. We hope Christian churches in India will reciprocate and open their doors to individual Sikhs in trouble who may need asylum from persecution, a la the 1984 anti/Sikh pogroms, in which, in Delhi alone, nearly ten thousand innocent Sikh men women and children were hacked, and burnt to death, by Hindu mobs who were given a 'wink and a nod' by no less a person than Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime minister of India and his cohorts from the ruling Congress party. Nearly twenty years have passed and the Indian State - to its eternal shame - has NOT been able to find, to date, even one guilty person for the 1984 mass murder of ten thousand Sikh men, women and children.Most Christians in India have education but they generally lack muscle which commodity the egalitarian Sikhs have in abundance and this reality, along with other practical reasons, suggests a Christian/Sikh alliance for survival in an India misruled by Neo-Nazi fascists of the BJP. Remember Nazi Germany of the 1930's?
