has been published in the leading Punjabi-English newspaper of the Sikh
diaspora, Surrey Canada-based CHARHDI KALA, (Issue of May 2 - 8, 2001 : Vol.
17 ; No. 18). It was also published in the first week of May in the
Vancouver-based PUNJAB GUARDIAN, Toronto-based SANJH SAVERA,
Calgary-based SIKH VIRSA and numerous other Punjabi/English weekly and
monthly publications which cater to the three million strong Sikh diaspora in
Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The Overseas Sikhs, unlike their 19 million
compatriots captive in India, are free and prosperous and they are determined -
as they believe it is their destiny and pray for it every day; Raj Karay Ga
Khalsa; Sikhs will rule - to carve a sovereign, democratic, egalitarian
Sikh buffer state of KHALISTAN in South Asia, stretching from the Jumna
river on the East to the Pakistan border on the West, China on the Northeast
and Kashmir on the North.

Washington DC: May 3, 2001: There is much more than meets the eye in the April
18, bloodiest ever Indo/Bangla Desh armed clash - 16 Indian soldiers dead - in
which an intruding BSF (Indian Border Security Force) 300-man patrol got
ambushed by angry villagers inside Bangla Deshi territory after the Indian
force had drawn first blood when it murdered three BDR (Bangla Desh Rifles)
soldiers defending their post. Please see: (http://www.tribuneindia.com/20010419/main1.htm)
Interestingly this bloodshed took place about a week after the completion of a
goodwill visit on April 13, 2001, by a flotilla of Pakistan Naval ships to
Bangladesh - the first such visit since Bangladesh broke away from Pakistan in
1971.
The
well known 'moderate' Indian columnist Praful
Bidwai - a sober Indian nationalist - writing in the Kashmir Times, a Jammu newspaper (April 30, 2001 issue) quotes the Times of India (http://www.timesofindia.com/250401/25home2.htm)
and claims that; "the 'misadventure' (in Bangladesh) was two-sided; the
BSF went on a 'retaliatory' mission to Boraibari
and botched it up, and the BDR (Bangla Desh Rifles) overplayed its hand." Bidwai goes on to say that the 'Pakistan
link' theory to the incident was; "pure, self-serving speculation which
misses and deflects attention from the real issue; the ugly side of India's
image in the neighborhood - as an overwhelmingly big, increasingly arrogant
nation with pretensions to global super power status, which looks down upon its
neighbors. India now thinks it is in a superior league as a nuclear-weapons
state, a master of missilery, a prime ally of the US, an IT super power, an
emerging industrial giant, even a sure beauty-contest winner. "
Praful
Bidwai draws attention to the latest
utterances of the right wing Brahmin-caste dominated BJP, VHP, and Shiv Sena
leaders to the effect that; "Bangladesh is a small, poor state, an 'Indian
creation', which can never aspire to dignity or
equality with India. It must accept India's 'leadership'. These statements
remain uncontradicted by the BJP or the government. We must reflect upon such
sick attitudes in all honesty, even though that is painful. The factors which
shape India's negative image go back a long way." Bidwai points out that; "with Sheikh Mujib's assassination in
the early 70's, India's attitude to Bangladesh changed rapidly. It erected the
Farraka barrage on the Ganges river without Bangladesh's consent. This
diversion of waters inflicted huge losses upon Bangladesh, and ironically
encouraged migration into India from the down stream regions in
Bangladesh."
Bidwai goes on to say that;
"One could equally plausibly speculate that the BJP had an interest in
fomenting border trouble when five state elections are just two weeks away.
Indeed a party leader was quoted by The
Telegraph (Calcutta) newspaper as
saying that the border clashes may brighten BJP prospects in the Assam and West
Bengal elections in May." The columnist concludes by calling for; "a
degree of modesty and non-arrogant self-definition for India. Our elite should
stop dreaming that a semi-starved nation like India will be magically made great by weapons of mass
destruction. India must change its ways of looking at its neighbors.
It must respect, not overawe them. In any South Asian grouping, India tends to
over shadow others by virtue of sheer numbers. In such an asymmetrical unequal
situation, India should support positive discrimination in the neighbors favor.
Bigness extracts a price. We must pay it." Noble sentiments indeed. The
Brahmins can never do it! They just can't.
Let
us see if the following facts will make the morally repugnant
Brahmin-fundamentalists think. If sheer numbers (one billion starving Indians)
is such a big thing and qualifies India in the minds of the Indian ruling
clique for a world power status and a permanent Security Council seat how come
India in fifty four years of its free existence, having participated in
fourteen Olympiads (but unlike China which has won scores of gold, silver and
bronze medals) India has NOT been able to win even ONE
bronze or Silver or Gold medal in Athletics. Not one, in athletics!
India finally won a bronze for women's weight lifting in the 2000 Sydney
Olympiad! India should be up there with the other nuclear and regional powers;
USA, Russia, UK, France, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, Iran, Turkey, South
Korea, Australia et.al. India's miserable performance is way behind - forget
China - even behind under-developed stone-age countries like Kenya, Papua New
Guinea and Ethiopia whose athletes manage to win Gold and silver in every meet.
Obviously there is a fatal flaw in the world’s largest castocracy which comes from the unjust stifling Brahmin-caste
dominated socio/economic system in India which nomenclature Mr. Winston
Churchill used to say; "is as much a country as the equator."
The
morally repugnant Brahmin-fundamentalist BJP rascals who misrule India have
however; found an inside track to greatness. Statistical
grand larceny! Cheat in the Census
figures. In the 2001 India Census for example, they have made an ass of
themselves, and made India a laughing stock of the academic world. They padded
the percentage national Literacy figures to show a literacy rate of 65% from 52% ten years ago - an increase of an
unprecedented and unbelievable 13%. But they forgot that five hundred sixty six
million literates (claimed by the 2001 Census India) out of a population of a
little over one billion makes the percentage 56%. Please see (http://www.censusindia.net/results/statedata.html)

please see the following Khalistan

grand larceny in detail. Khalistan

Getting
back to the subject in hand: Our sources in India report that there was indeed
a 'Pakistan link' in the recent happenings in
Bangladesh. Not in Bangladesh, but in the Home ministry in New Delhi in the
federal minister L. K. Advani's office. Our contacts in the Indian Home
ministry confirm that the morally repugnant, swastika-worshipping, 'conqueror'
of the Babri mosque, Hindu-fundamentalist, L. K. Advani - the Indian Von Himmler - started losing sleep ever
since he learnt from reports in the Sri Lankan media that a flotilla of
Pakistani ships is headed for Bangladesh for the first ever joint naval
exercises in that country's history. He activated his agents and 'went to work'
in right earnest when Bangladesh 'forgot' to inform Delhi through diplomatic
channels about the Pakistani ships holding exercises with the Bangladesh navy
in that country's territorial waters. As a result of that omission by
Bangladesh - intentional or otherwise - Delhi sent a warning to Bangladesh in
the shape of a bomb - state-sponsored terror - which rattled and terrorized the
Bangladeshi capital city of Dacca on April 14, 2001, during the Pahel Baisakh annual public celebrations
in the Ramna Park, which killed nine innocent Bangladeshis and wounded scores
of others. Please see (http://www.timesofindia.com/150401/15wor15.htm)
A
few days later - on the 18th of April, 2001 at 04.30 AM in the morning -
another 'message' from Advani was supposed to be 'delivered' in a village
called Boraibari over one mile from
the border inside Bangladesh. The 'message' was in the shape of an intrusion by
three hundred heavily armed Indian BSF (Border Security Force) soldiers who
were supposed to surround and over power a small BDR (Bangla Desh Rifles) post
manned by a platoon in that village. The rest as they say is history. What
happened at Boraibari has been
described best by one of India's leading English language newspaper Hindustan Times in its issue of April
27, 2001 headlined; "Slain BSF men
were deserted by 300 comrades?" (http://www.hindustantimes.com/nonfram/270401/detfro05.asp)The
first paragraph of the Hindustan Times report by Vishal Thapar reads as follows:-
"THE BORAIBARI foray, it
appears, is a misadventure the BSF will take a long time to live down. It now
turns out that 300 BSF troopers fled the Bangladesh-held territory after a
clumsy bid to seize the post held by a platoon (thirty men) of Bangladesh
Rifles (BDR). The BSF abandoned 18 of their men, 16 of whom were killed by
frenzied Bangladeshi villagers." Advani, some Home minister! Some message!
Some courage!
Now
all of a sudden after the tough and brave response from Bangladeshi soldiers
and villagers, Indian federal Home minister Mr. L. K. Advani is 'licking his
wounds' and has changed tracks. He has started talking about the security
threat to 'mighty' India from unarmed Bangladeshi immigrants. See Times of India dated April 30, 2001
headlined; "Illegal Bangladeshi
migration security threat: Advani" (http://www.timesofindia.com/today/30indi10.htm) This change
of direction means that thousands of West Bengali and Assamese Muslims will now
become the soft target for the fascist Hindu-fundamentalist morally repugnant
BJP government and its goons. The world will soon see pogroms all over India,
and like the Sikh community in 1984, thousands of innocent West Bengali and
Assamese Muslim men, women and children will suffer death, rape and arson all
over the 'largest democracy' in the world. Some democracy this India! Some
world power! Some Hindu fundamentalists! Some larcenist cowards!
