The following KHALISTAN CALLING newsletter has been
published in the leading Punjabi-English newspaper of the Sikh diaspora, Surrey
Canada-based CHARHDI KALA, (Issue of September 6 to September 12, 2000 Vol.
16 No. 36). It was also published in the first week of September, 2000 in the
PUNJAB GUARDIAN, SANJH SAVERA and other weekly and monthly publications,
which cater to the three million strong Sikh diaspora all over the world. The
Overseas Sikhs, unlike their 18 million compatriots captive in India, are free
and prosperous and they are determined - as they believe it is their
destiny - to carve a sovereign, democratic, egalitarian Sikh buffer state of KHALISTAN
in South Asia stretching from the Jumna river on the East to the Pakistan
border on the West, China on the Northeast and Kashmir on the North.

Washington DC: September 5, 2000:
Diplomatic observers in New York believe that today's announcement that Indian
Prime Minister Pundit Atal Bihari Vajpayee will now arrive in New York for,
what the Indian Express has described as a junket, a few hours earlier on
September 7 then originally scheduled, which they conclude means that he will
be attending President Clinton's New York reception that evening for the
visiting heads of states who are attending the summit themed; "The United
Nation's in the 21st Century," and as such the chances are that the
leaders of Pakistan and India might shake hands in that crowded hall.
Washington has much to learn about our South Asian ways. Nothing substantive is
going to change in South Asia after that handshake.
According to today's (September
5, 2000) THE HINDU newspaper the Indian Prime minister's itinerary during his
ten days visit to the United States has been exhaustively rescheduled. As of
now, September 10, 11, 12 and 13 have been kept free of any official
engagement. His visit to the West Coast was cancelled earlier. The Madras
newspaper (Hindu) reporting on Vajpayees two and a half days State visit to the
United States writes that; "The substantive part of the visit begins on
September 14 when (Pundit) Vajpayee will address the U.S. Congress, followed by
meetings with members of the Senate and House Foreign Affairs Committees.
Official level talks have been fixed for (Friday) September 15 when the Prime
minister will call on President Bill Clinton at the White House in the
morning." After lunch with Vice President Al Gore on the same day the
Indian Prime minister will receive senior functionaries of the U.S.
Administration at the Blair House, the official guest house of the American
government, located opposite to the White House.
On Saturday September 16, 2000
Mr. Vajpayee will no longer be a State guest and will be on his own when he is
scheduled to attend to the 'photo opportunities' of the Washington's Indian
community. On that day (Saturday) Mr. Vajpayee is expected to - if his knees
hold and his mind forgives - unveil a statue of Mr. M. K. Gandhi, also known as
Mahatma Gandhi, (murdered in 1948 by none other then, Nathuram Godse, a RSS -
Rashtriya Sevak Sangh - colleague and soul mate of Prime minister Vajpayee's)
which will be installed in the traffic island opposite the Indian Embassy on
Massachusetts Avenue - an honor bestowed by Washington DC but denied Mr. M. K.
Gandhi in India's capitol, New Delhi. President Clinton's state banquet/garden
party for Mr. Vajpayee, and six hundred other guests, is slated for Sunday
evening, September 17, prior to the Indian Prime minister's departure for
Delhi. Incidentally a demonstration by the Sikh, Kashmiri and Christian
communities is also planned to liven things up for the weak-kneed Indian Prime
minister opposite the White House, in La Feyette park, on Sunday evening, the
17th of September, 2000 (from 5 PM to 9 PM) to which 'open house' everyone has
been invited by the organizers.
Meanwhile another Indian
newspaper, the Indian Express, in a frank editorial today (September 5, 2000 -
"Voyage to the Americas") describes the Vajpayee 2 and 1/2 days
state, and 8 days private, visit; "as a junket at the taxpayer's
expense" (www.indian-express.com/ie.da.../ia05042.htm)
and goes on to say that; "There has been some criticism about the timing
and length of his tour, considering that New Delhi will reap a thin harvest
from the trip. There are no agreements on the cards with Washington... So
Vajpayee & Party will descend on the US in the middle of an election
campaign to try and get advance feelers of the politics that will rule America
for the next four years." The Indian Express editorial quotes a key
member, Marshall Bouton, of the New York-based Asia Society (to which Vajpayee
had been invited to deliver the annual keynote address) as saying that;
"NO deliverables on this trip -- NO CTBT, NO lifting of economic sanctions
(even though New Delhi tried hard to persuade Washington to reduce the infamous
Entities List) and NO agreement on a new trade round." A junket indeed!
Most Indian journalists in the
United States - accomplices all of Indian intelligence - hyped by the lies of
the BJP propaganda machine are visibly disappointed that Vajpayee's visit has
not yet generated any stories in the American print or electronic media which
is treating it as a non-event. These India ultra nationalists are going to be
disappointed further when they realize that even if the two houses of US
Congress, ignore the oppressed minorities in caste-ridden Brahmin caste
dominated India, and pass a resolution supporting India's dubious claim for a
permanent seat in any expanded UN Security Council and by some miracle Russia,
France the UK and the United States voted for the proposition too, it is China
(with its veto) which will ultimately decide whether India is its equal or not
and whether New Delhi deserves a permanent UN Security Council seat or not.
India's double faced policies on Taiwan and subversion in Tibet we hope will
convince Beijing to pay back to India's crafty Brahmin caste rulers in the same
coin by opening communications with the diaspora Sikhs who are destined to
carve an independent and sovereign buffer state of Khalistan stretching from
the Jumna river on the East, to the Pakistan border on the West, to China in
the North-east and Kashmir in the North.
We urge the Chinese to talk to the 3 million FREE Sikhs in the diaspora which
development will not only put India in its place but will also promptly divide
the ambitions of the crafty Swastika-worshipping Brahmin-Fundamentalist BJP
rulers of India by their limitations and teach them how to perform the kowtow.
